Meet Reinhardt

Hi, I'm Reinhardt, the founder of GFYH Designs.

By day, I'm an IT person based in Roodepoort, Gauteng. Like many South Africans, I've always been looking for something additional — something of my own that could help create a better future for my family while allowing me to build something meaningful outside of my professional career.

GFYH Designs started in 2026 as a South African online apparel brand built around braai culture, the outdoors, and mental awareness.

GFYH stands for Good For Your Head, a name that means a lot more to me than just clothing. For me, it's about celebrating the things that bring South Africans together — standing around a braai with friends, watching rugby on a Saturday afternoon, enjoying the outdoors, sharing a laugh, and having conversations that matter.

I've always believed that some of life's best moments happen around a fire. Braais and the outdoors have a way of bringing people together, getting people talking, and creating connections that are genuinely good for the soul. In many ways, that's where the heart of GFYH comes from.

At the same time, mental health has played a significant role in my own life. Through my personal experiences and my career, I've seen friends, colleagues, and employees struggle with challenges that often go unseen. That's why GFYH Designs isn't only about celebrating South African culture; it's also about creating designs that remind people they are understood, supported, and never alone.

Every garment we produce is built on two principles: premium-quality clothing and high-quality Direct-to-Garment printing. I wanted to create apparel that people would genuinely enjoy wearing — not just because of the design, but because of the quality and comfort as well.

More than anything, I hope that when someone receives their GFYH package, they realise they're part of something bigger. Whether they're wearing one of our braai-inspired designs or one of our mental awareness pieces, they're joining a community of people who appreciate good company, meaningful conversations, and looking out for one another.

Success for me isn't measured only by sales. It's the day I walk into a shop, arrive at a braai, or find myself somewhere in public and see someone wearing a GFYH Designs shirt. It's being able to strike up a conversation with that person and know that something I created has become part of their story.

If you ever meet me at a Saturday afternoon braai, you'll quickly learn that I'm family-focused, passionate about rugby, always willing to lend a hand, and someone who genuinely cares about people.
